My new toy .. Lady Luck
« on: April 03, 2009, 03:29:20 PM »
Gday all .. just picked up my next Pin this morning from Michael Shalhoub. Was good to finally meet him, a very nice bloke.

I swore I wouldn't buy another multiplayer EM but I couldn't pass this game up.
Rated 8.1 on IPDB and everyone I've spoken to who knows this game reckon its a ripper.
Really looking forward to restoring this old girl and thinking about going all out.

It is 2 games in one .. playing against the dealers blackjack hand as well as the usual point score. Has a bell in the cabinet instead of chimes and a bell in the backbox connected to the credit wheel .
From what I understand there are no credits, instead this is the dealers hand.

Here's some pics

Yeh .. imagine how wild that ball will be when it enters the top bumper area.

Resto thread will be coming Nino  ^^^

Forgot to mention I've already cleaned the LHS slingshot plastic just to see how they will come up (pretty good  %.%)

Here's a few pics of the cabinet , unfortunately one side has a split which will need to be repaired  !!!

Good on you Dave,

Wondered if you had picked up the game or not. This game is supposed to be a blast to play.

Glad you got to meet Michael - as you mentioned - top shelf guy.

I don't.

Playfield looks like it will clean up pretty easily, the bottom of the backglass will take a bit of work, and the cabinet will be a challenge. Nice pickup, though.

Dave - Pictures are fine and the machine looks to be in excellent condition for its age.

I can't wait to see it finished !

Another great pin - artwork is outstanding - it screams 60's to me and is what is missing in my games room.
Obviously BEAT TIME is another that has this angular 60's style artwork. The way pins adopted the art styles of the day just fascinates me.

Check out WMS 10 years before with 1958 CASINO

http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=463&picno=30008

Similar theme but totally different look to the whole machine

Or one of my favourites - 1958 WMS SATELLITE

http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=2056&picno=1943

Only 10 years between them, same manufacturer, but the progression is evident.

Pins now havent changed in nearly 20 years!
