Fun times
« on: November 23, 2013, 10:05:35 PM »
I haven't felt up to playing much pinball in the last year, I hadn't even turned any of my games on for about 3 months.
One of my boys asked me to play a game with him tonight, so we had a game with my other boys. They actually kicked my butt, my 5yo doubled my score !@) but it was good fun, to watch how skilled they have become.
I am way out of form, gonna have to get back into it to show em who's boss  :lol

That's the beauty about pinball, whether on your own or in a group, it is always fun. The only time it is not fun is when you play poorly maintained ones in the wild. Good to see your youngsters sharp and on the ball, my three girls aee just as keen.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.

Now that brings back some memories. Back in my school days 1960/70s, we used to stop off at the local milk bars or barber shops to have a few games before and after school.  Gottlieb wedge heads ruled the roost at 3 games for 20c. Every suburb in Sydney had at least 10 machines scattered around various shops. Our kids are lucky they can play games at home these days. Keep them playing, that's how we learned.

My first memories were also from a milk bar, my parents used to give us 20 cents to go and buy milk, I'd buy some lollies and con my brother to pop some money into the pinballs in the back, then I'd "help" them play the game, good memories, the advantage of being the big brother  *)*

Pinballs were always meant to be fun, and that has never changed. Each time I head into to the workshop, I think of how lucky I am to play with toys all day long  ^^^

Wow!! That just brought back a bunch of long forgotten memories. I used to do exactly that myself as a kid!
