Problem solved matt it will be working next time you visit. When i lifted the playfield the wires from the playfield to the main board fell across the tilt relay when i put it down.  But i knew at least one would have to stuff up

Well for those of you who didnt see my other post on this i removed the mylar from Marathon after months of chickening out im pretty happy with the result as i only lost small areas of solid color but no writing yeahhh $#$

Then me being not being able to help myself i tried to remove the brown stain the mylar had left. I tried everything from Eucalyptis oil to some stuff i cant even spell from ZEDX (Thanks mate) Only thing that worked was to rub the top layer off the paint with either ISOCOL and ME or just using wetrub.  Found wet rub to be best as i could apply more even pressure and cover a greater area.     The 2 pics shows my attempt to use ISOCOL and ME at least i found out how far i could go lol !!!

And a few shots of the progress so far at the moment im just trying to get the blue areas to be similar all over its not worth the risk going to far with this after my first failed attemp.  First pic ive sanded the right side only really shows the difference

Just after some input before i go any further on this.  Should i sand and re laquer the top ball arch and apron or leave it original?  The bottom arch is missing a section should i try and make the missing piece or just make a whole new one?

Well ive removed most of the PF inserts as they were all wonky but there are 4 large ones that i cant get out so ill just leave them there only a tiny bit below the surface.  Ive jsut picked up a 45kg gass bottle for my shed heater so might get a bit more done when im not freezing my ass off. Pictures to come later

Well big improvement today removed all te inserts sanded of as much yellow muck as i could and reseated them.  Didnt want to rub to far and lose the number so i just stopped when i started getting nervous *!@
