I bought some "white" rubbers from an Aus supplier a couple of months ago and they were the same as you describe.
They didn't seem to happy when I asked for money back, probably the same company.

I got caught by that as well added them to an order I needed, couldn't be bothered asking for a refund, just threw them in the bin and cut my losses   @.@

Me too. One time while Greg had "Gone Fishing" I brought some from an other Aussie supplier also and everyone was a various shade of yellow. Also brought some "new" globe holders all of which were rusted and some of which had solder on the lugs. To the suppliers credit they sent me some replacements but unfortunately they were all as bad as the original ones he sent. I ended up throwing it all out and waiting for the fish to stop biting. These days if RTBB doesn't have it I go overseas.

That's why I only use RTBB parts on my restorations (local suppliers).

Their rubbers have not been sitting on a shelf for 20 years and the parts are the genuine article. I've had a few machines in my workshop with LEDs that have caused havoc in the switch matrix after being installed. Revert back to standard globes or RTBB LEDs and the problem is solved. Price should not always be the governing factor in restoration parts. Quality is more important in my view.

100% with you there Nino. No point in paying half price for something that you end up throwing in the bin anyway. Besides I find RTBB prices are usually as good or better than most anyway and I've never had a quality or delivery problem with anything there either.

+1 I have been stupid to buy from others thinking the part was the same and presto a load of shit and untold problems. I wish people would display actual photos of their parts. Found this os as well especially with repro plastics. Picture shows true colours and you get something else.

Oh don't start me on photos Rob, eBay is the worst for that. 18 months ago I was back and forward with a person on their  Bride of Pinbot, the original photos weren't that sharp but when I asked for some more specific pictures they were happy to oblige. These photos looked great and I was ready to pick it up when it was pointed out to me by someone else that the floor in one of the photos was different. When I asked again if the pictures were of the actual machine I was told that they'd had 3 of these machines in the past and these were pictures were from one of them. Turns out the one they had for sale was an absolute turkey. All ended well though 12 months later I brought a BoP in great nick from another member here.

Also speaking of dodgy pictures ,have a look at the two strikes and spares machines this guy in the US has for sale. Two adds, two prices, one set of pics. Who would know if either are actually of the machine you'd be getting.
