Whats your favorite Multiball or Multiball mode and why???
« on: April 06, 2009, 06:09:35 PM »
Damn...Is black hole up there as the machine with the best ever Multiball...??It sure is in my books...Its amazing to try and keep 3 balls in play and try to get a ball to the bottom reverse playfield and keep it there...Just does my head in...I cant think of another pin quite like it...
Anyway that my favorite for now...
Well of souls on the IJ is fun as well...

Whats your favorite then guys???

Playing against Germany in WCS'94 is pretty intense. Unlimited 5 ball multiball for around a minute. You need to coordinate scoring goals and plunging drained balls back into play at the same time. Very cool!

My favourite must be Firepower. I'd love to have one of these machines at home. I remember when I was young going up the The Entrance NSW on holidays with the family and playing it in a Caravan Park games room. Hate to think how much we sank into tha machine - but it was fun.

I gotta say when you get M'Ball going in LAH (6 multiball) with the 3 huge magnets in the middle is absolutely crazy....I have not played anything even close as yet.   :D

I love the way in which multiball starts on Lost In Space.

Honourable mention to Apollo 13 too, 13 ball multi-ball is totally impractical but a lot of fun to watch!

I'm with Paul on the Black Hole. While I love some others (all four on AFM, Big Bang on BBB and trying to launch balls back by hand while not loosing more, making Rudy scream on FH, completing the chevrons on Stargate), every time I manage mb on BH I am overjoyed! Last week I managed mb three times in one game (massively unusual) - and decided to drop ball five (with an extra to go) when the five times 119,000 bonus I had from downstairs was going to take the HS to 990,000! Had to shoot the extra ball to complete the game, meant taking a 3,000 point minimum, and ended up with a new HS of 993,000 - that leaves a 7,000 gap to fit into if I want to hear those three taps again! (Or maybe it's time to change the battery with the game off...)

I can't remember these multiballs and can't really say I can differentiate multiball between machines as you're basically trying to keep the balls in play for as long as you can, with the side plots of trying for jackpots etc. So with my limited games I play at home I actually like the T2 multiball for one reason and thats to hit the Super Jackpot. I can do it with ease if I've trapped the other balls on my machine but Jeez its tricky letting go of a flipper to shoot the gun when there's balls flying around.

The other MB's sound great though (and difficult)

BTW I hated Black Hole coz it f*&ked with my head how the lower playfield flippers were operated in reverse. I'm not good with abstract concepts. But it didn't stop me from putting in heaps of coins so I could get that MB and spew when I get all unco-ordinated!!
Still loving my Metallica Premium

I'm with you on that one - now there is a machine I wouldn't mind owning just for the multiball. I tried to buy one but someone else had dibs on it.
