Fire Power...whats it worth

Was talking to a sub contractor that does some work with us from time to time when the talk turned to pinball.
Turns out he has a fire power in his garage that he paid $500 for over 10 years ago. Everything still works but it gets very little play these days. He said it would be prepared to let it go for the right price and today he sent me some phone pics which arn't the best pics in the world but from what I can make out from the pics and from what he tells me it looks very clean with a great playfield and back glass.
He doesn't know what it's worth and I don't want to rip him off so what would be a fair price bearing in mind I would probably need to send it off to Nino or someone for a service and clean?

Hard to say without seeing it but I'd say $1500 if its in 8/10 condition overall , more if its better than that .

You could try offering a grand (he'd at least double his money)

Its a great game and mine is a keeper

For an early SS machine, I usually look at $500 for a non working project, up to $1500 for a fair to good example in working order and up to $3500 for a showroom mint example.
By the sound of it, this FP is in working order but needs some detailing and TLC applied so I would say 900-1200 would be a fair price. It all depends on closer inspection of backglass, playfield, cabinet, etc. Probably also a good idea to play for no less than half hour and check for any gremlins.
FP is one of my top 5 favourites and I don't have one !!! so you can't go wrong in owning one. Sounds like an interesting find.

Seeing the backglass is fundamental to this game - they suffer badly, and many are a mess. If it is in really good condition, and playfield is decent, then $1K + depending on what the rest is like. A good backglass with a little to no wear playfield in pretty much working condition maybe $1.5K.

If the batteries have not spewed over the boards and the BG and playfield are good without wear, I think $1000 to $1200 is fair money.

Playfield needs a good clean, look at the black towards the spinner and it is going grey. There is some wear I can notice around the 4 and 5, looks like it has seen some work, the stand up targets are a mish mash of colours. Condition is fair, I have seen a lot worse. $1000 is a fair price.
P.S. Flippers are badly aligned.

Looks to be in good shape cosmetically .
It really beats me why people use black flipper rubber on SS games , even seen it on EM's .   *.*

It looks pretty good.
Worth having a look in person. Play a few games . Check for playfield wear, upper and lower. Board hacks/repairs.
Offer $500-$1000. If its needs work.

If working 100% $1000 and up.

My firepower is not going at the moment. I have fixed it twice. Hopefully 3rd time will be the last.

 These machine are usually well worn . Usually played to death. Bloody fun game! You will not regret getting a good one.

Hard to tell from the low quality pics, but that backglass looks really nice, and the playfield looks good too.

Less than $1500 would be cheap in my opinion (subject to close inspection confirming the apparent condition).

are you guys giving advise on how much you would sell a  FP for…... (if so I'd buy Nicks for 1500)
or
how much you'd pay for one

my thoughts to the guy selling it
spend a few bucks on cleaning it up re rubber it and get the boards checked
then flog it for 2 grand

Well Greg you know me well enough by now.
I would probably buy it for $1500. Spend 60 hours on it.
Spend another $1500 on parts.

Sell for $1200
