100 pinball legs to be powder coated Black !
« on: February 13, 2014, 12:16:26 AM »
I have currently got myself a little project to keep my week busy.

I have to get just over 100 pinball legs powdercoated black, and before doing it, have to remove any screwed in feet/bolts/lock nuts etc.
Hopefully all the feet just come out easily versus being a nightmare.

I am going to shop around for a powder coater who can handle the quantity whilst providing the quality n then giving them back to me unscratched with each set x 4 wrapped in say butchers paper.

I may have to supply the wrapping stuffs.

Now all I have to do is make up sets of Stern, Bally, Williams n Gottlieb etc etc etc before I rubberband 4 x legs together n take the load down there.

I had previously purchased 100 x sets of brand new silver feet a year or two ago which wont eat into my pocket.

I have a box of brand new leg bolts that I cant lift which holds over 600 new shiny leg bolts. (glad I paid for this stuff a few yrs ago when I was earning well.lol).

Anyway, I guess I will call this the Pinball Leg Volume Challenge.

I also have to get 6 sets Williams chromed as well.

So my garage will be full of pretty legs sooner or later. Might take some before and after photos of the heavy batch. I had to pick up every leg today from storage and carry every leg to the trailer then unload in the heat. Yes, that was fun.

Stay tuned.

yours will be cheaper. hopefully

you will prob make your own legs via a contract out company I guess Mike. then don't forget a few thousand leg bolts plus all the shiny silver feet etc.
glass to be made and it goes on.
If I didn't have my 4 yr old son to look after, I would come over for 6 months just to help out for free and be part of the magical

Go Thunderbirds Go project. But u have to get me a smoking hot very pretty wife to bring back. Aged about 30 etc.

I am sure we can work something out.lol

Mike, it might pay u to buy your own powder coating both and sand blaster etc....???
