cool custom effects - hydrographics
« on: February 14, 2014, 07:38:01 PM »
Nelly discovered this stuff and started to produce so cool effects for his Buffy game - this stuff is awesome.

Nelly did a timber grain effect, but you can get so many effects from this one supplier and there are probably others as well.

here is a video of application
&feature=player_embedded

and a video of durability
&feature=player_embedded

a cool motorbike tank with flames
utoplay=1&rel=0

so imagine the customisation with this stuff - camo flipper bats for buck hunter or flame flippers for AC/DC or carbon fibre ones for car themed pins as well as other things - very cool.

This is one place you can get the gear from
http://www.mydipkit.com
https://swinks.com.au

for pinball parts (reproduction & mods)
for pinball t-shirts

Holy shit, with that and a 3D printer, the world would be your oyster! I know the 3D-printed stuff wouldn't be good for hard-wearing things like flippers, but for certain plastics or DIY mods, it'd be insane.

The Hydrographics are cool but the range is very limited. Due to the high initial cost of printing set up, a very limited  graphic selection is available.
Patterns are bought in sheets.. some 30 patterns to choose from, most of which are repeated.. timber grain ( 3 off ) camouflage ( 3 off) etc.

There is a few cheap kits about on Aussie website for 100 dollars with a lot of metal patterns. Seen a battery drill done in a American flag. Looked awesome.
