Eight Ball Deluxe Playfield
« on: March 22, 2014, 10:32:30 PM »
I suspect some of you may have heard of Ron Kruzman in the US.  He does alot of playfield restorations, and is very highly regarded for his work.

Here is a great example - an absolutely beautiful Eight Ball Deluxe playfield.  This thing looks brilliant.

Looks beautiful. I suspect his work is matched by some of our local talent though- Strangeways, Retropin and ElTimbo all do work at this level.

Does it say what the asking price for it was? I no longer do PF work for other people as I cant get them out within the customers time frame. But, choosing select titles and restoring at your own pace to then sell on is probably the way to go.. its very hard to make much money on this type of work though. Time is the biggest killer.. 35hrs at $40ph is $1400.. add materials and its beyond what anyone wants to pay for it.. mind you, at $1400 its already beyond a selling price!

Thanks for the kudos, mate. But Gav and Timbo are well above my standard. I am starting to learn the craft with reasonable results, but I have a few more years of catching up to these guys.
