1920s Chester Pollards Play Football
« on: April 04, 2014, 12:23:37 AM »
Well guys I've mentioned my exciting new project.   Its confirmed payed for and will be on its way to me tomorrow.

This is going to be a huge project but a game I never thought I would own and the best part is its an original Aussie machine and it found me ;)

This is what it will hopefully look like once I'm done.

I'm only getting the games internals the machines cabinet had been lost over 10 years ago by a previous owner don't ask me how but I'm glad it was it id never have had this chance to own a classic penny arcade machine

This is what I'm actually getting

As usual the wife doesn't understand but as usual I didn't listen to her lol

Yes the guy I purchased it from has spent 10 years gathering parts and plans and measurements for the cabinet but if all else fails the penny arcade in echuca has one ;)

Looks great Dan.

Lucky for you, you have a couple of very talented high end cabinet makers down your way whom I am sure would love the challenge!

They are an awesome machine and its a great pick up. I know of a couple of these around, none for sale of course.
One thing leads to another and if you have one Chester Pollard, then you need to collect the series!

Wow that is awesome, I played the one in Echuca with the kids last time it was up that way bit over a year ago. Good fun, amazing the engineering and quality of things back in those days  *%*

Yeah, you will definitely have to track down the set  :lol
I vaguely remember playing the golf one, it had a spring loaded lever to control the power of the stroke didn't it? And another that you twisted to aim the golfer in the correct direction?

Yeah Matt that sounds about right and if you got it in a hole it returned your ball if it went in a bunker you lost the ball
