Pinball cabinet musty smell.

Did sum work on my Williams Bad Cat's pinball yesterday.
When I opened the coin door the cabinet had a strong mustey smell.
The game is in a dry environment but still gets the smell.
Is there anything out there I can get to put inside the cabinet which would help ?

Put a quarter kilo of baking soda in an open plastic tray or tub, and leave it there as long as possible. It will absorb the smell very effectively, works a treat on Euro imports which always seem stinky.

This machine does not get used as much as the others so that's why it might get that stale air smell inside.

I'd bottle it and use it as aftershave or air freshener. Serious.

To get rid of the stale smell, turn machine on and play for a few hours. After the last game, leave machine on for another couple of hours. Slowly walk up to the machine and crouch down near the coin door. Slowly open the door and position your nose near the opening. Take a deep breath through your nose and savour that freshly played pinball smell. This method works all the time and improves with age of machine. After some time, your senses will be so well in tune with pinball that you will detect machines in any room even whilee blindfolded, simply by smell.
