Looks in very nice condition, its one I wanna own...........but the price! Maybe the new Star Trek movie has a little to do with the bidding. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330320510690

Great thread title, nice play with the story! It seems pretty over the top price wise already, but I guess the Trekkies might be resurfacing with the new film about to launch.

I think it is safe to assume it will go for around $2400 - especially in this condition. 42 bids means there's a lot of interest, so it may go for more

Can't go wrong with Trekkie themed games !

Guys I got into early SS because they are great bang for buck, but looks like I maybe getting priced out of many titles. Early SS is fast catching-up with DMD stuff.

Only the "name" titles are catching up. Star Trek was a "sleeper" 5 years ago - I sold mine for $1400. Now they are worth more. I think ST has caught up with the "top notch" early SS machines. Not in Playboy territory yet, but getting there.

You should still be able to get early Ballys for $1200 - working - Supersonic, Blackjack, Mata Hari.

I received CRAZY offers on my restored Strikes and Spares, that is also a title that seems to be appreciating.

Maybe these machines will eventually reduce the price of DMDs ?

Pin prices allways fluctuate, but its crazy how SS has appreciated this year. DMDs have come down quite a bit, I may start getting into them again. %.%

SS is a boring machine to play - but the artwork must be its redeeming feature. Having said that, machines that are completely restored will always return a good price.

SS and EK have been the machines that have returned the $$ over the last year.

Within the next 5 years I predict Playboy to be right up there with KISS as the most expensive early Bally.

We will see - I have a ground up full Playboy restore starting as soon as Gavin sends me the restored playfield. After it is done - it will be for sale. I can guarantee the Playboy won't get close to my second KISS. That KISS will be a complete restore - nothing untouched !

EK is selling well due to his untimely death. Sad, but true.

I reckon this one might go past the $2500 mark given its condition.
