Black Hole and Spirit were the only 2 late SS Gottlieb games I played frequently on site when they were released.  BH has the best ever designed lower playfield - genius.
This one is coming up nice and brings back memories.

If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

Looking Good , The new window looks great , Don't forget the globes that light up the Lower Playfield are 24V!! , Use #313 lamps. Mounted around the underside of the  new window.

Yes I know there were 24v lamps on the game took me a while to trace which were which , followed the power cable to the solenoids.

When I finally get around to the restoration of my game, I plan to convert that lower playfield illumination to 6 volt - info here http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gottlieb_System_80#Replacing_Black_Hole_Lower_Playfield_Illumination_Lamps_with_.2344_Lamps

Pretty simple and effective mod.

Just catching up again on your progress Dan, it's really coming along beautifully. Such a cool game, I'm jealous.

Yeh real happy, was a much  easier fix in the end. Very happy. The pascal mpu and swemmer sound/speech board are awesome. The spinner motor is noisier than i had hoped, but is ok.

Bloody hard game, or just my poor pinball skills.
