Centaur questions
« on: January 11, 2015, 09:43:49 PM »
Hi Guys,

This is a pretty new game to me so I was hoping someone who knows the game well could help me understand a couple of the multiball rules. When I light the "captive orbs" and hit the red target at the end of the right lane to release for multiball sometimes they release and sometimes they don't. Is there a difficulty setting which alters this or do I need to hit something else to light the release?

On another note has anyone ever had an issue where the ball three multiball doesn't work? My understanding is that on the third ball of the game if you hit the right hand red target the magnet grabs the ball and starts multiball. This was working but now it's not. The orange ORBS release insert at the entry of the right lane has also stopped working. I believe this should be on from the start of the game. I've been advised that this problem is likely linked to a switch somewhere but I haven't been able to figure out exactly where yet so would be interested if any other Fathom owner had experienced this before?

Not sure if you have a problem, but here is how mine works!

The red target will only release the orbs if the release light is lit.  To do this you need to get the '1234' targets down IN ORDER.  There is a setting to have the release light come on and off for the last ball (sw 21 off) or stay on all the time (sw 21 on).  The magnet is not linked to the orbs release, it is linked to the bonus collect feature.  Often both are lit, so the magnet will then work at the start of multiball.

Hope this makes sense!  Great game to play ^^^

Thanks for that, it all made sense.  ^^^

The Release still won't light but I guess that could just be a lighting issue. I don't have any trouble getting multiball to work only I thought on the final ball it was an automatic 5 ball multiball once the red target was hit. This doesn't seem to be the case. I still get multiball but if only 1 of the orbs is lit i get 1 ball out. Is this how it's suppose to play? I've only played one other Centaur machine before and I'm thought that was how it worked. I could be mistaken though.

Yep, one ball for each orb light you have lit.  Looks like you need to get that "Release" light working so you can see what is going on!

Can't remember the rules but a hot game. Gotta come over one day and have a game. I'm sure the rules will come back to me then.
Still loving my Metallica Premium

Thanks very much for that, that's great news. Hopefully there isn't much to the light issue, the main thing is that the game plays 100%.   ^^^

For the most part the rules are pretty easy to get the hang of, it's a fantastic game really. If your ever in town, drop around.
