Farewell to a Friend - Greg Berry
« on: February 18, 2015, 10:23:10 PM »
Nick and I are sad to note the passing of our friend Greg Berry.

Greg was a sponsor of the forum, but that was only a tiny part of his involvement with us - Greg was a friend and mentor to many of us and to many other pinball people, not just here, but throughout the world. We have been in contact with a number of his friends around the world today, and the grief at his loss is widespread.

His passing was sudden and unexpected. We have lost a truly genuine, generous, honest and caring person.

RTBB has gone fishing for the last time.

I only ever spoke to Greg once when i made my first older with him. He gave me some note worthy advise. He seemed    Very genuine and honest, his service was always great.  I wish his family well theough this difficult time.

I am totally shocked and feel very sad for him, his family and friends.

Great guy, rang me a few times to help me out and solve a few problems - top bloke, honest and wanted to help others.

I'm very sad to hear this news. Greg always went above and beyond whenever I needed help with parts. He'll be sadly missed by many. To those who were closest and to his family, my deepest condolences.

A recent photo of Greg inspecting a new arrival. It was typical for Greg to inspect a game, and then turn up the next day or so with new parts to replace the broken or worn parts. This was typical of his generosity. People would not believe it until they experienced it themselves - which many people did.

On a personal note. Greg was always offering strong words of encouragement. A lot of his vision of where the industry was heading rubbed off on me. I can safely say that he was a MASSIVE influence on my business direction, and he supported me (and many others) to be progressive and positive.

Even aside from Pinball, he was a great friend and we often had long discussions that seeming always gravitated back to pinball !
