"Funny" how the day can pan out. Went up and picked up a Foto Finish that was made in 1961 from Michael. Come home and order reproduction backglasses for Foto Finish, Criss Cross, Sunshine and Big Casino from the Shay Arcade Group: http://shayarcadegroup.com/index.html

Don't care about the costs because I have a new project and 4 brand new reproduction backglass coming in from the USA  #*#

Now the weekend - at 10AM takes a twist.

Drop 18 year old Son to Gibson Park, Thirroul to play for the Butchers rugby league team. Notice Josh very nervous before dropping him off and wish him well, see you in one hour and have a great game.

Go back home and set up Foto Finish - very happy with new project.  *%*

Drive back to Gibson Park just before kickoff. Other team kicks off - straight to Josh (playing fullback) takes the ball from the kickoff and gets smashed in the first tackle. Gets up holding his shoulder.

He goes down and the trainers come out to see if he is OK, give him the 'magic water' and he keeps playing for 20 minutes.

Anyways he comes off, puts ice on shoulder and unable to move arm.

So off to the hospital we go - the results are a really bady broken collar bone - it's 3cm apart.

Josh shattered, out for 8 weeks (min) and puts everything in perspective.

Doesn't matter jack s**t about having a shed full of cool pinball machines - spending that time with my Son at the hospital was way more important.

He adores his sport and even gave up baseball (which he has played for Australia and toured the US/Canada) this season just to give everything to the sport.

As I said to him - you are not a man unless you have broken a bone  :lol

Poor bugger that must hurt like hell. But if you look on the brightside you have 8 weeks to convert him to the dark side im sure he can strip down and restore a pinball with a brocken collar bone lol !*!

Now Tony, I could make a joke about "Everything you go near breaks" but I wont.

All the best with your son's recovery buddy, hopefully his come back will be a great game.

Sorry to hear about the injury to your son, Tony - but he is young and he will recuperate quickly. I snapped my femur at age 10 and played footy without a problem for 15 years after.

It is part of the game - He will be able to tell his story for years to come.

Oh Nick,

You crack me up (no pun there either mate  :lol).

I'm actually surprised on how well he has taken it. He loves his sport - here is a 'kid' (now 18) that played 2 or 3 different sports each season because he loved it so much. He would think nothing of playing seniors baseball in the morning, rugby league in the afternoon and then backup the next day to play soccer for the local team.

He just wanted to play one sport while doing his HSC....now he can't even write his name as his right shoulder is shot  :lol

Nino, do I really have to work with this guy at Expo?  :lol :lol :lol

Sorry to hear of your Son's bad luck Tony . Damn shame its happened in his HSC year too.
Of course, all sports are an injury risk, but accidents like these are the worst !
Hope he has a speedy recovery  .
I need more room ! and more $$$

Here are 2 quick photos - check the backglass out - now that is some touchup!

The playfield is nice and reproduction playfield plastics have just been made as reproductions

The cab needs a respray (check out that nice custom look around the head!)

Excited with this - new backglass on the way and with some love she will look awesome again.
