FRUSTRATED!
« on: March 30, 2015, 11:44:02 AM »
I just had to post here and vent with a recent order i placed with a large supplier of 'pinball spare parts' in Melbourne, no names mentioned.

Every time i place an order, the order received is ALWAYS wrong! especially when it comes to rubbers. Im not sure who they have employed there but they must have monkeys or something doing their QC.

I ordered a complete set of new rubbers for a Williams machine of mine along with $200+ other parts, only to find that i cant get the game running until after easter as the wrong rubbers have been sent. To add insult to injury, they have requested i send back the incorrect parts (which im fine with) - but at my own shipping cost... excuse me?!

Has anyone else had the same experience, i know its a very common occurance here in SA.

Signing off...
(a very mega-pissed off customer)

I rarely/never buy from local guys unless it was RTBB.

OS suppliers have never got it wrong for me and usually slightly cheaper, even with the exchange rate  !@#.

Bit rich making you pay for the return shipping though...

I have bought from Marco and Pinballlife as the alternative if RTBB don't have them. Marco only got a few things wrong once but they said keep the original parts and sent the new ones with free postage. No problems with pinballlife. Only bad thing is the dollar is against us now but some of the Aussie alternatives are not cheap.

I've ordered from Marco's & PBR and others without issue.

There should be no reason to consistently get orders wrong, especially as they are ordered from part numbers in manuals.
You would also assume that if customers continue to complain, you would address the issue.

The money and lost business should be reason enough.

I have put plenty of orders through all 3 main vendors in Aus, and have no issues.  RTBB seems to be best price/value/fastest service.  Mr Pinball has most unique parts, and PSPA has the widest range - in fact just got an email from them with a $20 postage refund on an order placed 45 mins ago. Very happy with the service all around.

Businesses need to be professional with their level of service
Only takes a few extra days to receive parcels from the USA

Ordering rubber kits are hit/miss, noticed some sites don't do kits, I try to order extra when i can for back up,

Only issue i have is the imperial sizing of especially hardware i always seem to order the wrong stuff   &^&

Yes, but sometimes the manual is wrong (the getaway, slings are wrong size)

Part no from a 1974-75 Parts Catalog is 23A-6505-4 or 23-6505, just leave out the -4 part . this is for a 3" flipper rubber...

Then that would be the op's fault...pretty sure he wouldn't charge himself postage to send back however  %.%
