Thanks for the photos Pete.  ^^^

A big thanks to everyone for a great night last night!

From what I could see fun was had by all, I got stuck on the BBQ a bit longer than I would have liked though!  :lol  :lol

Did not get a chance to talk to anyone for as long as I would have liked either. But happy that the machines held up, mostly anyway.

Will post up photos a bit later.

It's all happening :) Nino playing a Stern who would have thought lol

Always happy to play a Stern !

Considering I've never seen a Tron "in the flesh", it was an absolute pleasure to play this example. It looked like an LE - it was so well decked out with mods (without going overboard), and LEDs. The game blew me away completely. I think Peter (Gorgar1) and Rob (Pinball God) played a few games against each other - it was one of those games where you would stand back and watch someone else play the game, and it was just as much fun as playing it. That's what I love about local meets - you have access to games you might not ordinarily see every day. Apart from having a great time with the people who attended - I left thinking that Tron was definitely a game I would look at playing more often. Brilliant pinball machine !

Thanks Michael for a great night. Was fantastic meeting up with the likes of Peter, Troy, Nino and everyone for that matter. Some really interesting stories and insights were conveyed regarding pinball and videos in the past. I really enjoyed these. Gorgar1 was surprised a video pcb he bought years ago was actually brought in by Nino's dad. Small world.

Really enjoyed your pinballs mate. I even got to beat the Greg Berry Classic World Champion on the night  %.%. Your games are set up hard, I'm currently having physio on my arms coz I tried so hard to beat your high scores and didn't even come close.  ^^^ they're jelly today.

Thanks again and hope this isn't the last meet
Still loving my Metallica Premium

Thanks for the kind words guys, sorry I didn't actually get to speak to any of you very much!

Pete, Nino and Rob you are all welcome anytime to play, Maybe we can have a Tron off!

Some photos of the night, actually all I have!

I gave Moyra one job to do on the night.......seems she had a great time chatting with everyone as well!

First people to arrive!

Game time!

Chat time!

Yours truly, and yes I may have had a small fire going!

And I think the star of the whole show!!

Cant wait to catch up with you guys again soon.

Clearly Tron, Cactus Canyon and the Run-DMD clock were the stars of the show (besides Minx of course) and I think the clock had a few people mesmerised. Great fun just working out what animations are from which pin!

That "Crazy Climber" writing is my father's hand writing.

The story behind this board is that it was routed during the video boom - and it was a HARD game to master. I had a guy call me up and BEG me to prepare a cabinet with this board. It is unique as you use 2 joysticks. So I restored one of the cabinets we made in the early 80's and retro fitted this board. The buyer picked the game up and paid the $750 I requested. The monitor had been recapped and "rejuvenated" - the picture was perfect. The buyer was so excited that he finally had his "holy grail" machine. Checking eBay the next week - I notice this EXACT board listed for $450.. I messaged the buyer, and he replied "The monitor had too many faults so I took a loss and parted it out".

What a load of BS ! He had a buyer lined up for the VERY nice cabinet, and made up a BS story that the monitor was "faulty". Anyway- I'm just glad it is in your collection Pete.

Cheers Nino for the info it's great having a game/board where the history is known, dam shame he parted it out but it was my gain lol as you know I paid no where near $450 for the board :) They are hard to get and command a high price. I'd love a dedicated cab one day.
