Where are you located?
There was one for sale here in SA a couple of months ago.

You have probably seen it before because it's been for sale for over a year I would guess but just in case you haven't there is a beautiful huo target alpha on eBay for $3600 or best offer. It used to be $4000 I think.
My first pin was a solar city great fun game lots of drop target action wish I still had it.
Good luck with the search.

Looked at that Target Alpha that has been on sale for over a year and it wasn't as good as the pics.
It was poorly presented for the asking price as it hadn't been cleaned, been sitting for a while! Had corrosion appearing on the metal parts and the door had been jimmied open at some stage also the flippers were weak.
Still a nice machine but if I was selling a machine for top dollar I would have tried to make it look like it was worth it and playing ship shape! If you are spending that sort of money you should not need to spend or do a thing to it so I walked away.
Ended up buying a nice Sinbad for half the price which was also HUO and really happy with it.
If the Target Alpha is your Grail machine then this is a good example and wouldn't take a lot to have it spick and span but the price is high.

Here is the guy's profile link, his name is Tony if you want to have a chat to him about it.

Here you can see where the door has been tampered with, more marks on the inside of the frame!

Cheers: Brettski... :)

Also there is a small defect in the back glass where paint has flaked away, only small but not mentioned!

Cheers: Brettski... :)

Thanks Brettski/spacejamo

I have seen the machine advertised for a while and spoken to the owner with the price a little out of my budget. It is my grail pin and I am prepared to pay a good price for a good example. But this one is not for me.

Cheers

I have an ElDorado .. single player version of Target Alpha .
I wish Gottlieb had made Target Alpha as a single player cause I would prefer the Sci Fi theme to Western .

Single player EM's are the best IMO .. because with multiplayers the game can't carry over from ball to ball .
The only Multiplayer EM I have found where this doesn't matter is Williams Lady Luck (which i also have) because with each ball you are playing to beat the dealer.
I need more room ! and more $$$

I unfortunately had a brain snap about two years ago and sold my Solar Coty after owning it for 14 years and have missed it ever since hence the search beginning again. Will not make that mistake again

I actually get a sick feeling and cold sweats just at the thought of ever having to sell my machines. I am at my limit of space so anymore will be a swap out and I would have to draw straws to decide which one would go and then still have regrets.. LOL

That would be a very nice project and relatively easy apart from making the custom backglass
You would end up with a unique machine
