« on: January 10, 2016, 10:42:35 AM »
I'm interested in this FT. Is it worth the $4000 price tag?

Sorry about all the price checks guys, but i just haven't had any luck lately.
Thanks

IF the playfield is good, i would say that is about on the money. Alternatively buy a dunger for $2200-$2500 and spend $1000 and a heap of hours to get it up to that standard

Good pick up, could have been removed for the pictures but seems an odd thing to do, so likely is missing.

You could pick up a container quality alternative for around the $2000 mark and get it to this level for less $$$ as a DIY.

It really depends on how much you value your time, whether you enjoy restoration work or if you just want a plug and play example.

By the time you read the responses it will probably be gone. This is the most traded game in the world and everyone either wants it, owns it or has owned it.
Did you notice the lack of dome topper?
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

I would suggest FT is much better value at that price and will be easier to move on if you ever wanted to sell (if that is part of your consideration)

They are both at the upper end of the market in terms of asking price for the respective title so it comes down to whichever title/theme you prefer.

Fish tales in great condition fully restored to a 8.5 outta ten with new cabinet decals n working topper with all boards serviced by someone like Beaky sells very fast at $4000 and $4500.

It's a game I have & love.
I played a very nice one & fell in love with the games artwork, audio and great playfield shots n toys.
My Borgy designed Tales from the Crypt is also a fun cracker of a game.
So very close you can't split the smile on your face both titles leave. 3750 to 4250 for a really nice Tales is also on the money with the market lapping up quality keepers which are easy to I sell.
Happy Hunting.
