Next comp details are up for Amusement Worx IFPA sanctioned tournament. It is a double header to again cater for those who may have other commitments or if not the bonus of getting additional tournaments under your belt.

Every event that AW holds there are more attendess (particularly new faces to the pinball scene) than the last which is a great sign.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the hosts, organisers and attendees, we are finally turning around the pinball scene in SA for the better.  ^^^

To those that have opted to remain in the background on AP in the interim, but have attended these events advertised I thank you and hope to see you there for the next one.

On that note, I think we may have also finally turned around AP for the better as well to what the forum founder Creech originally intended it to be so hope to see those lurkers posting here in the near future.  ^^^

Competition details as below:

You Asked For It, Well here it is!
The next IFPA
Pinball Tournament
DATE:
Tuesday May 3rd.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Registration and warm up 5.00 - 6.30 sharp.
2. Information and questions from players 6.30 - 6.40.
3. Competition #1: 6.40-8.40.
Competition #2: 8.45-10.45.
4. We are running two competitions on the night. So you can stay for both or just play in one. There will probably be 10-12 machines in use on the night.
5. Each comp will be a two strike knockout format using matchplay events. Each comp will have a slightly different format to the last comp to make it interesting.
6. For each round in each comp you will be allocated an opponent and a machine to play one game on. Whoever loses that game has one strike. You stay in the comp until you lose two matches (two strikes). With this format you get a second chance and as the comp goes quickly if you get knocked out you can play in another comp on the night.
7. ENTRY FEE: $25 for the whole night. For the last comp this meant up to 6 hours of playing.
8. On the night players should have their IFPA # ready, to save time. Just Google IFPA and your name to get your # if you have one.
9. Simon reserves the right to change the format. For example: to make the competition go faster he may change the arena draw to manual to save time if machines are vacant. But the knockout format is what we will run by.
