Data East TMNT replacement ramp
« on: July 02, 2016, 05:58:57 AM »
I just noticed a slight crack in my ramp and looking more closely there is also damage where the ball makes a u-turn from the plunger at the top of the skill shot ramp.
I had been searching the net to find a replacement ramps for this but without any luck.

Does anyone here have suggestions on where I could buy one?

Cheers,

Snoz.

After I posted this I found Strangeway's post http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?topic=11758.0 which was not only a great read but showed me how he repaired the ramp on the TMNT he was restoring.

Very hard to find a nice one, they are always broken on the first corner much like any other plastic entry ramps.
Are you able to fit stainless protectors to reinforce/disguise the breaks?

It is in pretty good condition and I had to look hard to find the cracks so I think the reinforcement would work if I don't leave the repair too long.
I'll try and source the best material to do the job, the last thing I want to do is wreck the one I have.

BTW: Sorry for delays in replying, I just got back from my swing.
