Household high scores
« on: May 14, 2009, 10:53:43 PM »
Guys, I just had the best game on Getaway I've ever had!
I'm no expert pinball player by any stretch of the imagination but I just got 469 mill and knocked the missus off the top spot by about 200 million.
I don't know if that's a good score for Getaway in general but it is in our house.
Getaway is her machine and she's always rubbing my nose in the fact that she has the Grand Champion score. So it was with great delight that I smashed the high score with her looking on no less.
Very happy camper  %.%
Does anyone else have a friendly rivalry with the missus?
Pins: The Getaway, TotAN, WH2O, Pinball Magic, Banzai Run, Flintstones, Judge Dredd, Lord of the Rings LE, Metallica LE, Iron Man VE, The Walking Dead LE, Star Trek The Next Generation.

Missus doesn't give a sh*t about pinball but I have a rivalry with my son on our Flash. His best is 764,000 but I recently took great delight in beating his score by getting 893,000.  *%* He's not happy...

thats on 5 ball Creech, with extra ball awards instead of credits? my best on 5 ball is 740000ish. Flash has become my favorite pin, now that its working properly and i appreciate it more.

Yes, 5 ball with extra ball awards. Hey it's my house, my rules. LOL!

Seriously, I need all the help I can get when I play. Flash, in my opinion, is one of those special SS machines. So simple yet so engrossing once you get on a roll. I love when I knock down the middle 3 targets to get TEMPEST and score extra ball.

My wife has all the top scores on High Speed 2, at 882,000 I can't get anywhere near her on that game, she also had the loop champ too 11 loops.  I think I got 11 once but I need 12 to get my initials up.
On my other pins she cant even get close to my scores, for some reason HS2 kills me every time, must be that huge left drain  *%* (not my shit skills of course  *)* )

I'm crap at getting high-scores, which is probably good, it keeps me challenging the pin...

An absolute pisser was on my Stellar Wars, where i scored 666,660....it's a pity i couldn't get all 6's but none of the sensors score anything less than 10's. DOH !

My wife still holds the highscore on our creature pin that's been in our family for over 4 years now %.%

Her high score is 465 million to has proven a tough score to top especially with only a two ball multi-ball  ^&^
Pinballs in my collection Elvira, Stern Grand Prix, Bally Corvette, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Judge Dredd, Black Rose and Data East Guns n Roses.

Kebab :)

At home there is not too much competition as my wife doesn't play; my eldest son is getting better but my high scores are out of reach for him for now. The minimum on Mousin' Around! is now 10M and a bit, can't remember what the lowest of the Dirty Harry high scores is (over 1000M I think) but no-one else who plays it gets anywhere near it. Both these pins take a bit of practice before the scoring gets up there.
