OK...My Black Hole is now about 99% complete.

Thanks to Dean Morgan (formally known as) my BH now has speech.  I don't know what the designers were thinking by putting the cheaper boards in (apart from $$) but it really makes the game.

Very easy to convert and took about 10min.

I now just need to tweak the playfield plexy glass height and sort out my hole kicker.  It is very lazy and does not seem to kick the ball that well.  The mech was cleaned and lubed and is perfect by hand.  I suspect it has the wrong plunger in as I've ruled out everything else. (ie driver board etc)

PS..Big thanks to Nino for a loan of a connector for my aux power supply too.   #*#

Marty, glad I could help..

Couldnt think of a better BH for it to go into, you have done an awesome job mate.

And your right about voice making a differance to machines..just adds to game play I reckon...and will add $$ to the value of your Pin for sure.

The actual sounds are completely different too (unless my old card was cactus)....I agree re the $$ for the machine.  Not that I want to sell it but it makes the game!  The good news is the missus loves playing it and is determined to get multiball before me so its game on!!...

My digital camera suffered a horrific fall and is no longer with us.  I'll post some pics in the following days!

Its been kicking both of us tonight.  The gate on the r/h/s is killer, esp when the ball rolls up then out!
