newbie to forums
« on: September 13, 2018, 04:04:05 PM »
Hey all, we're from mid north coast NSW, Australia and we are very new to pinball ownership. My partner and I grew up playing them and got a chance to get one, so we did. We got a 1981 Williams Jungle Lord,( nothing like jumping in the deep end) and bought as untested but looks complete. It definitely needs work, and will most likely need bits and pieces replaced. The playfield is looking ok, but sad. Same with the back glass. I don't even know if this is in the right area for a post? New to forums as well as pinball.  So any help is greatly appreciated thanks <..>

https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=Jungle+Lord&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick

You could start here for the manual  and info. You can then post your issues in the Techincal Matters-Problems and Assistance area.

Does the machine power up and play etc.

Thanks for the welcome. Our machine is a bit sad, and bit dirty. It seems complete, only we have no balls  !@)  We have alot of gummed up switches and have noticed a few things that have broken solder. We have tested a few things for power, like the coils, some work some don't. And the transformer that has power going in but none coming out, but only being tested with 12v battery atm. The mylar on the playfield is all lifted, so thats gotta come off. Its going to be a slow process getting this up and running.
We downloaded a manual from the ipdb.
Being new to pinball ownership, finding what belongs, what can be interchangeable will be a challenge.
