So what's this worth?

I'd say $2k to $2.3k tops.

B/glass looks  peculiar to me, maybe it's the lighting or the camera, there is no flaking but looks "thin". !@#

thinking the same, I almost suspect its a translite

I'd say $1,600 to $1,900 depending on the condition.

This pin is way over-priced  !*!

Are the prices you mention ($1500-$2300) for a 'fully shopped machine', or the one that's for sale ATM?? Yes, I'm a newbie.

What's the "market value" for a Gorgar ?

For a working machine that is cosmetically a 7/10 (what you will find on eBay) - $1800 - $2200

For a restored machine - could be anywhere from $2200 - $2600.

But there are ALWAYS people willing to pay more.. Hence auctions like these.

Ebay auctions usually seem to favour the seller rather than the buyer.  I blame uneducated buyers who push prices out to the ridiculous.

I just noticed that the game could be worth more - as it is the RARE version with BLACK legs and the toughened legs bolts - it only needs one bolt per leg

It is the rare "Black Gorgar"

Ha ha ha! That's funny right there...  @@*  Hey you can't blame them they sell bicycles after all - some self proclaimed expert probably told them that it's a rare collectors item.

This whole auction is definitely a case of uneducated seller aimed at uneducated buyer.  Kinda like that character last week in WA that was selling those 4 crappy Stern titles (I think one was a Bally) with a starting bid at $6,000 !!@

Yeah Nino, This US Import version would only need one toughened leg bolt per leg , as they are stronger than the bolts used on the more common Chinese Import Gorgar.
I hope this information helps. :lol  :lol  :lol
