Anyone needing blank (Raw Ply) playfields?
« on: June 10, 2009, 01:04:52 AM »
Hi All,

I found a secret supplier of 12.5mm "A/A Grade" ply as used in 'official' pin playfields.
Typically these are around for $100-120upwards from what i see around the net.

I would be looking to move mine out for say $25-35( $40tops) per sheet, keeping it waaay under the dirtbags out there.

Sheets will come with ball-launch groove and carry/access hole as a basic start.
When it comes to mounting bumpers & inserts, you're on your own.....although i AM tooling up (so to speak) to start providing custom cuts for anyone needing them on AP.

Playfield sheets will be available in ANY widths, as i realise not all cabinets accept eachothers playfields.

These would be a suitable restore replacement for your old water-rotten playfield, or for anyone who wants to dabble with their own creations.

Just thought i'd put out the feelers for interest, i'll be grabbing my first load of sheets in the coming weeks for my own projects, so i'll update with progress & pics then if anyone's interested.

MM.

Well, I haven't heard of any progress on the Bathurst 2000 pin, but these blanks could come in handy.

Yep, the Sabbath is my priorty pin, although development on 'the others' is coming along not far behind.
Each few days i develope a new item or concept and decide which of the pins it will suit most....

I should look at doing the Bathurst and Footy ones too hehehehee.

I'd like one too, but I am in Sydney. Hmmm.

I'd prefer to use some nice ply rather than the crap that bunnings sell...

Cheers

Hi All,

My plyguy has had a few orders from large companies, so my order has suffered with the shortage of material.
He's offered me the lesser grade ply, but no way, i'm now waiting for his high grade ply to arrive, coz i wont use/onsell crap-grade to anyone here.

I'm happy to post these around OZ, or pickup for the locals.

The sheets will be cut to a generic over-size by the supplier, and i'll be fine tuning them to custom sizes to suit any cabinet width you require..

More to come as my order comes in....one day....doh!!
