stand-up targets decals - newbie howto?
« on: June 24, 2009, 10:35:40 PM »
As a cosmetic issue I'd like to put new decals on my stand-up targets. The existing ones are either missing or totally worn out
Sorry for the poor picture - it is taken through the glass.

I've done a fair bit of browsing on this site, but am not sure what the normal / best(?) way to do it is.
The plastic of the targets is riveted on and it looks like you stick something over the top.

Is this normally a vinyl sticker or do you print in reverse onto transparent sticker and then plastic over the top?
I have the artwork in electronic form. What do people normally do?

Thanks,
David.

These stickers can be bought and they have the hole cut out for the rivet. Simply peel the old sticker of wipe the target clean with metho and apply the new stickers.  I think i got mine From Marcos But do a search and you should find em

Here ya go

http://www.firepowerpinball.com/   - go to FP artwork and you will find your treasure  *)*

I have printed things like this onto a decent 'card/ photopaper'
It still isnt thick enough to go over the rivet.
So cut an extra blank piece ( the same size/roundness as the front sticker ) and cut a hole in that back piece for the rivet , then stick the front decal print to that ( the back piece will bring the whole face of the target up to be the same level as the rivet ) - make sense !@#

Dont forget to go around the edge and colour it the same colour as your target so it blends in nicely  *%*
