6 x Stolen Snackbar Mod
« on: August 31, 2022, 11:58:34 PM »
 @@^

Hi all

Mainly people in Australia and in Europe.
I recently struck a deal with Ministry of Pinball and sold them 6 x Snackbars along with hidden decals, drive-in speaker mods etc - over $2700AUD worth and sadly they opted not to take out insurance.
This is what I sent.....

Then this is the photo I got tonight when they unpacked it - a box full of brochures.

I have had many customers over the years with selling a few hundred of these and everyone knows that I am loyal and reliable and never had one single loss. I would never do this in my life and admittedly rather stressed as I take pride in my reputation.
The only thing I can determine is that in the Newcastle main postal branch or Sydney's main branch or The Netherlands main postal branch that someone did a switch.
Can people keep an eye out for Snackbars going up for sale.
Regards
Jady

Wow, i send stuff in the mail (mainly in aus) worth thousands of bucks all the time. Never heard of anything like that. Seems they'd have to know what they were and be particularly targeting them.

Tough for your customers, but put's you in a nasty too i understand with someone you want to stay in good with.

What country are the magazines from?

edit; Aaahh, aussie by the looks.

do not know much at the moment but I am in the Lake Macquarie area and one of the books is Newcastle and the pasha bulka story which is the fairly local to me and Newcastle is the first stop sorting centre - sort of makes you wonder...

Lets hope it's not someone known. seems a very specialized thing to take when people send money and drugs in the mail all the time.

just heard back from the minister in Newcastle and he confirm MoP got his customers package so my package is somewhere locally ???

how does aus post send a package 2-3 times heavier, wrong contents and with postage to cover going to out west NSW. Somehow my declaration went on to his box.

please keep a look out for Snackbars at Pinfest etc,as these might be going on the black market

any help will be much appreciated

Thats disgusting. Although I can comment that we have had postage issues from the Newcastle Sorting Depot with RTBB shipments. Moreso "missing" or "delivered" items that never made it to their intended address. We only put our address on the "sender" section and not "RTBB".. Aussie Post are simply useless in these cases.

I find it incredible. I buy satchels by the hundreds and have never lost one yet in the thousand i have sent. True the express satchels travel outside the mail stream, but the service is incredible and easily the best freight service in Australia.

To hear about stuff being stolen or lost by the staff is terrible.

sorry, haven't visited the forums for a little bit
oddly after auspost investigation of 2-3 months and they paid me a whole $100 (as customer chose not to insure them) + postage cost and declared missing and never left Aus but lost or stolen. I contacted Ministry of Pinball to at least give them money back and work out some sort of compensation a few days later they just sent a picture and all parts found....
I am relieved but something strange happened with customs over there....

It may have been the tracking updates between Aussie Post and the Int carrier. Germany and France Customs are absolutely hopeless. A lot of RTBB orders go to France and go "missing" for WEEKS, yet the Aussie Post tracking mentions the packages never leaving Australia. They did, but the AP system needs the Euro customs to inform the local carrier that they have it - ie. It "arrived" at customs.

It is always better to send via DHL to Europe, as locals carriers don't get involved AND customs don't physically handle / scan - it is all done electronically.
