Thanks boys :)

Marty the worst thing about parting out the Volley was that over the years of carrying those parts around and having no interest in EMs they inadvertently ended up in land fill at Menai tip (of course if eBay was around back then I probably would have sold them.)

Andrew you definitely raise some interesting points, I think it's inevitable that pinballs too will be consumed by digital emulation and the hobby as we experience it today will die out.  There will be no need for the traditional mechanical & electronics skills we all posses, the new hobbyists will be experts in Javascript or whatever the new software programming language will be. To us it seems bad however the new generation will look at it with the same excitement we look at the hobby in it's current form.

Great read  Evro  @@*
Looking forward on some picts of the Skipper, does it need restoring ?What are youre plans with the new aquisition?
Just love playing around with these old machines.
Kev

Hi Kev,
Skipper is definitely one I want to restore to original condition, I've never played nor seen the game before however from the pictures I'd say the BG is gonna look like shit and will probably need the most attention, the PF looks pretty reasonable but I'll see when I get it, and the insides, well... that's anyone's guess.  Once it's up and running I'll see if I keep or sell it to get a more favourable EM title.  For the moment I'm studying the schematic diagram to re-familiarise myself with EM design conventions to make it easier to get it going once it arrives.

I always enjoy reading these.

Evro - If you ever want to play Volley, you are welcome to call past my place.
Wanted: GTB Aquarius backglass. Any playfield bits and backglasses from any EMs - nothing is junk to me.
