« on: July 12, 2009, 11:13:42 PM »
Yes I have another pinball in my Games room and it's one I have been after for quite a while as this 1979 Time Warp has very fond memories for me growing up as a child..Thanks Nino for all your great work with the electronics and now it's up to me to put some elbow grease into this beauty..

Pictures will follow soon..I'm one happy pinball person $#$ @@* ^^^

Peter,

I am pretty sure I saw this machine at Nino's the other week.

I was really blown away by the backglass and playfield artwork.

Good luck with the resto

Angelo

You won't be sorry, this game has not had the kudos it deserves. My very first purchase, and for the same reason as you - it was the game for me when I was a teen, loved the banana flippers, really had this one mastered back then.

A bit of history on this machine ;

Wotto originally did all the hard work with the playfield swap here ;

http://home.kooee.com.au/brainsnap/timewarp.html

A Collector friend of mine was looking to buy another machine from me, but I had none ready - So I put him in touch with Wotto. He then purchased the Time Warp and had it freighted to my place. I delivered it the collector and set it up. It worked fine, but he grew bored of it and a trade soon saw it back in my garage. I was going to restore it, but Peter wanted it "as is" - but electronically sound. So I simply upgraded all the boards and provided him with the parts he needed (flipper kits etc) to finish it off. Very seldom do I move games on unrestored (what's the fun in that?), but Peter REALLY wanted this game so I was happy to pass it on and see it go to a good home !

Thanks Wotto yeah I'm wrapped I was able to purchase the machine off Nino-have stripped playfield and given it a full spit and polish and it's come up a treat. She plays really nice and today I'm putting the flipper kits in. It's looks awesome next to my Gorgar..

Good stuff mate.  You are certainly building up a nice stash of collector quality machines.

I have just had a play of TW on pinmame - looking forward to having a game on the real thing.  I can see why you were chasing this title.

TW has some of the best classic game sounds from that era , especially when a drop target drops and when you hit the bullseye standup on the right of the playfield ( that you can do with the right flipper if your'e good enough thanks to those banana's *)*    )
