Joker Poker
« on: July 22, 2009, 07:58:23 AM »
What an awesome game this is! JP has to be one of the best Gottlieb pins built in any era - this one looks OK except there isn't much red left in the backglass  !!!

I agree about the game, but these are awful pictures and I don't think it's worth $1,500 in that state especially if you have to add shipping from country Victoria.

Great game, but the cab looks pretty bad too.

Would love to own this game ,but agree with previous comments in regards to overall condition.Even in the photos supplied looks like some wear areas around left slingshot and a bit dodgy in reds on other side.I would want some close ups of all playfield areas before bidding. This pin is on my wish list and would be happy to pay $1500 plus shipping if there was no more to fork out. When i factor in paying a pin tech for repairs, do a cab respray and to my eye playfield fix ups for me no sale.Other people will have there budgets and opinions and do the work required themselves which is fair enough. What is this machine worth in full working, overall top condition.

The last shopped System One I saw on eBay was listed at $2,200 "The Hulk" but didn't end up selling, also there was a Sinbad in good condition that sold on there last month for around $1,700 if my memory serves me correct (I know Tony would probably remember.)

Actually the last Joker Poker that sold was one in Sydney but it was really on it's last legs and looked like it was dragged out of the Cooks River at the last Clean Up Australia campaign, it went for about $450

Joker Poker is to System 1 what AFM is to WPC (or MM is to WPC for those that like MM) pretty much the top of the heap. Fantastic playing game.

I loved playing Joker Poker! The old squash courts at Epping (RIP) put in about 5 machines in the late 70s / early 80s. JP was one of them. Wonder what happened to them?
Wanted: GTB Aquarius backglass. Any playfield bits and backglasses from any EMs - nothing is junk to me.

Yeah, sound not working - how much does a board cost if it can't be repaired?

I think Joker Poker has a chime box from memory. I'll confirm that Saturday Night as there'll be one at Jyebow's Bring a pinball Meet.  $#$

There was an 'after market' sound board that was fitted to the early Gottlieb SS games. That would explain the 'sound not working'

As Nick said Joker Poker did have chimes whne it left the factory

Maybe one of the Queens - the other targets that look like they are missing are either black or green (like the Hulk drop targets).

Hadn't noticed that - but you are right Paul - as all the drop targets are in the down position  #@#
