Looks great   ^^^ - one question, did you use the wire brush wheel or cloth wheel to do the buffing?

Hey Ian, Matt (KTM450) is going to whip that up hopefully later this week/early next week. Looking forward to showing you the fruits of your work there mate!

The light board was another corrosion victim, and all of the GI wire had to be replaced - it was a nice shade of aqua!

Here's the removed spaghetti and the refinished product.

What did you use for braid ?

Stripped it from another couple of old light boards - just can't find that stuff anywhere.

Thats why I asked - Braid is available overseas, but only in rolls. I have to buy a roll someday.

The mylar wear as shown on the upper one has been covered with an overlay on the lower one (see pic 2). The upper one will be part of a large overlay for the whole area in pic 3 - luckily one of our very talented members (ie not me!! :) is working on that now. Lots of ball swirl made the art look almost black in places - eucalyptus oil and magic eraser seemed the most effective and it has cleaned up well.

After the magic eraser treatment the artwork on the left and right of the window and below came up pretty well. Will only need some very light paint infill to some scratches to look nice.
