.100 Molex connectors
« on: July 29, 2009, 10:48:37 PM »
Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any .100" molex connectors here for sale?

I am after a 14, 16, 18 and a 23 pin plug.

I need to replace 4 connector plugs in the Cybernaut I am restoring.

Cheers Angelo

Hi Angelo,
Dont understand these pins as I am only familiar with EM pins, However I am in the process of putting an order through to PBR, if these are what youre after http://www.pbresource.com/molex.html I can add them to my order.

Hi Milsy,

The two bottom ones on the housing section are the ones I need, and the pins to suit.

They are very common on lamp boards under playfields for Ballys.

There are two types of pins, 2.5A and 4A.

I will order from Great Plains if no one here has them in Australia

Cheers Angelo

Hi Angelo,
The email has stopped working tonight but I did receive your message from last night. Good work on finding the problem! $#$
I have not worked on a Bally with the boards under the playfield but they generally only used two sizes of connectors. The Solenoid board has both sizes, .100" for the small connectors and .156" for the large ones to give you a comparison.

I normally order the connector pins through www.farnell.com.au as they are local to me but www.pinball.com also stock these. These connectors are the crimp type so you would need to cut the old connector off and replace it. I haven't had to replace the housings yet but www.pinball.com also stock these. Ed at Great Plains is very helpful and will be able to suggest the correct ones if you can't source them locally.

regards Derek

Hi Derek,

Thanks for the heads up on the connectors/housings!

I will ring Wayne tommorow and suss him out on the parts I need.

I already have the Waldon crimp tool that does both the .100 and .156 connectors

Cheers Angelo
