Thats right - But this machine has a poor backglass also (seller rates it a 5/10).. All Blackouts have crap backglasses.

The last one that sold on rip-offBay was a basket case & the back glass a translite reproduction.

For sale is a high resolution digital print of the BLACKOUT backglass image. It is printed on commercial 'backlight' mylar that is designed to have rear illumination (the back surface is a translucent white finish). This diffuses the lights from the pinball head located behind the backglass. It is a full size image (25 1/2 x 28 1/2) and includes the second mylar that has the wording that shows through the front mylar, (game over, Ball in Play, Match etc) These two mylars can be mounted between two glass or polycarbonate sheets to make a replacement backglass. Since you can't duplicate in ink, the mirror surface on the original backglass, that area was replaced with pure white. These were printed on a commercial digital press from the digital image that was 760MB. I can send photo's of the mylars. Price $75.

Not sure Greg, have you tried Gary Conway?

He may have done them but I'm pretty sure it's mostly pre 1970, though his are US$185 each + US$25 to post to Australia

Check him out on RGP, if you need his details send me a PM

Also doesn't Nugent have the 'mirror' finish around Ted?  !@#

Yes, but asked about Nugent Blackout has a mirror effect as well.
No rush, just thought it may have been a cheaper way to replace my BG.

Thinking about it now it's a surprise that nobody has done these Stern backglasses yet. There would have to be a market for Nugent reproduction etc.

I've never played Blackout but it looks great. Had a chance to buy one lately for a decent price passed it up i've got two Williams and looking for a Bally or Stern title. Blackout also stole some sounds from Gorgar so a bit of a turn off to own both machines. But, it looks like a great game i'd like to play one.

I reckon you'd sell a few.

Half the charm of the backglasses though is the mirroring. Replacing that with white wouldn't cut it for me.  Unless i had no backglass at all.

Blackout also appears to take a lot of styling cues from Flash.

Yep for sure. I'm pretty sure it was another Steve Ritchie rip-off, i've read an interview with SR and he seems to think so.
