Hi guys
Last week I unloaded my games that I have imported with the help of a fellow pinball collector who has moved from the UK to NZ and allowed me to put some games in his container.
The usual story, I only was supposed to buy one game , being Nitro Ground Shaker and then it turned into that and Elektra and an EM Far Out. Managed to gain more $ and it changed into N G S , Star Trek ( Bally ) , Medusa and Flight 2000. The guy I bought them off ( not the guy moving to NZ ) has 100 games and needed to thin them out. He could only send me a couple of pics so I had to take a punt but being a collector himself I was pretty confident. NOTE: They are all not going but complete - cheapest way to buy!
Went out last week to take an initial look and they are in great shape. I knew the star trek head was already damaged but the seller threw in another empty head box. All are in good to very good shape. The N G S and Medusa may be the only examples left in NZ , if not they are the second ones in NZ.
So overall very happy but unhappy as space is a premium and I currently don't have room to put any up , so they will be stored for a later date. ( Could that count as a 2nd xmas when I put them up??? )
Finally managed to add my first Stern to my collection - by all accounts Flight 2000 is a great game - guy threw in an extra playfield and backglass as well!!
Also managed to sneak 20 minutes on Saturday and put up my Gottlieb Out Of Sight which had been stored for 4 months. Fired straight up. Only had one game but look forward to more! Got to love EM's!!
Well that's my news - had to share it with fellow pinball people. Wife thought I was clearing the garage but was disappointed when more pins turned up to fill the space 4 days later..... hehe
