Big Bang Bar /Cactus Canyon
« on: August 23, 2009, 10:15:05 PM »
One of my mates is after a Big Bang Bar or Cactus Canyon for his apartment in town .He asked for my assistance. He has done some research and has an idea of what they would be worth here .
So I thought I would put it out there if anyone knows if there is a BBB or CC that might be for sale .

Ken Priest of QLD has one for sale   www.pinballwarehouse.com.au and he would take apx 12 or 13 grand cash for it.....if anyone is that crazy to pay so much money for 1 x pinball machine.gulp... !@#

p.s- it is in excellent condition by the way (it would bloody want to be $$).  ^&^

Best bet would be to souce via Mark C - he's over where BBB actually got made and has bought a couple recently for some lucky pin heads. He can probably source a CC too I imagine if asked.

As between the two games, BBB is the winner hands down. CC is collectible because of its rarity, but is not very deep and a fairly standard sort of game (I don't mind it, but not at the $ it gets). BBB on the other hand is a complete package - beautiful artwork (perhaps one of the best ever??), great lay out, terrific toys, fantastic audio.
“If you wanna escape, go up to a pinball machine. There’s a magic button on the front that takes you to a world under the glass and makes the the rest of the universe disappear.”

Take it from me BBB is hard to find/buy took me about 18 months. I have a CC also and mistly agree with Nick except CC is actually fun to play. Probably not a keeper may sell before christmas

He only has room for 1 or 2 pins , my advice to him was a play a as many as possible then make a decision .
Me personally would go for a TZ and not sure for the other .
He's got the $$ and purely want's a show piece nothing more .

cc  is priced at 13k
fi
BBB gold  has been ordered
BBB  is for a member here already
that leaves one  which  we might  hang onto to a while  for the next aussie meet

the going rate around here is from 10k to 15 k usa    so add freight gst conversion and so on
i have only seen one sell under 10k here

nib ONE here for sale at 15k us
they seem to be getting higher and higher
