Looks great, Daniel. The new lift channel really makes the glass look great. I'll be buying a few of these for my machines !

I just picked up a nice Stikes and Spares myself so I'll be watching this thread closely.
Do you have a link for the lift channel and SS bolts supplier please mate?
I've heard a bit about this game, is it a sort after Pin?

Strikes and Spares was a very good earner in the "good old days" - back then, people played the machine if it was a good player, not for the art. These days, S&S has appreciated not only for us oldies that want to relive our childhood, but it is sought after for the ART. When restored, this machine is simply stunning.  I did one a while ago, and I'll post the restore after Daniel has finished his beast !

Very cool game - almost Eight Ball / Evel Knievel territory !

Looks great. Steve Young has done well out of you too! Where did ya get the lift channel? I'm chasing some for my Cosmic Princess.
Really loving the photos of your S&S. Keep up the good work.

Are you talking about the 'goody bags' on the backglass or the bags of parts?  <.>  *)*

You're quick mate, the double entendre was meant to be subtle!

awesome stuff, Daniel - Isn't it great to see all those new parts all laid out on the playfield ? A note on Pinball Parts - With the Aussie Dollar so good right now - you can afford to buy those extras and game specific parts that you cannot buy from sponsors. With all the specials we have been having lately - I've spent a small fortune on parts - and I'll keep doing so !

Well ive spent the day stripping prepairing and painting the legs for strikes and spares.

Firstly i must ask what were these painted in as paint stripper basically dried into a clear coating without removing any paint except where there was rust below the paint??????

And also have a good reason to tell the next friend who wants to borrow my tools to go Fire Truck Themselves  ^.^

The first pic is the original legs.

The second pic is the legs all stripped the two closest have been treated with ranex for good measure

The third pic is in undercoat

The fourth pic is the finished product.
