At this point I would be replacing U16 - LM339 on the Driver board. This IC is the only IC that is connected to all 4 of the first 4 rows. You should be able to ignore the 4 transistors (Q87 - Q89) and the other 2 IC's (U12 & U13) at this stage.

Hopefully it's just the one chip, and you're back up and running.

Oh goody – board soldering time  *!@
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr – now I am rooted  !!! !!!

Most electronics places will have LM339's in stock... They are quite a common part, and used quite often on pinball circuit boards.

Jaycar's probably your easiest bet.

Thanks.

I just called my local Jaycar and they had no idea what an LM339 is.
The guy was saying I was 'missing' a digit and kept asking me was it a LM (2) 339 I was after.

What do I describe this as?

Hmmm, sounds like the Jaycar bloke you talked to doesn't know what they stock  ::)

Here's their part number: ZL3339

And the description: Quad low power comparator

Wotto,
why don't you just walk down the road to my place one night or on the weekend (not Sunday - fathers day) and I'll fix this for you. #*#
