Are these 100 ohm?
« on: September 20, 2009, 04:30:45 PM »
I am going to have a go at making the Skull Pile upgrade on my SS - where LEDS flash as skulls eyes when you complete one of the 6 tales.

I have the wire, I have the diodes, I have the LED's - I have the instructions.
All I need is the resistors and connectors.

Can anyone tell me if any of the Jaycar 1/4W resistors are 100ohms please.
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productResults.asp?FORM=CAT

I was going to put a DIRECT link but the Jaycar page will have to be saerched when you get there via the top left corner - search 'Other Components' and then 1/4W resisitors.

Cheers

Never looked up resistors on the jaycar website (Worst website ever) no it they do not have any 100 ohm resistors listed.

But in there yearly catalogue they have  1/2w 100ohms part number rr-0548 or 1w 100ohm part number rr-2550
 Hope this helps

Go for the 1/2 Watt 100ohm resistors - they are Metal Film resistors so their physical size is the same as 1/4 Watt Carbon resistors (the standard ones).

Metal film are better than Carbon anyway.
