Have payed around $1500 many times for project 1950/1960s pins many times....was it the right decision? Maybe, most times. By the time you put in all the time to repair/rebuild/restore you can double that amount. The last game I just put in around 80 to 90 hours easily doing this

Oh that is a secret  #@# There are 3...one is an Exhibit Six Shooter from 1951, the other is a woodrail from the early 1950s and the other is on eGay right now  #@#

It's the Spotem  :lol :lol :lol :lol

QUESTION ONE - Whats the most amount of money you have ever paid for a pinball machine and why/when ?

Answer - Fathom in 2007 from Germany. Cost me AUS$2870 to my door for a project game. "Holy Grail" Pinball that I just "had to have". It was the right decision, as they are harder to find now that the playfields have been reproduced.

QUESTION TWO - what machine are you buying next ?

Answer - Scary. I don't know ? I really want an Embryon. But I'm starting to lean towards a couple of EMs - Williams "Winner", Gottlieb "Super Score" and maybe a couple of woodrails. I've learnt that the chase is never ending.. There's always room for one more !

Q1 $5000 for a ToM
Q2 anything at the moment as I'm desperate for something to tinker on. Life's a bit flat at the moment so need some interest!

1) Ali $2,000 and Terminator 2 $2,000. No regrets, happy with both deals. Although project Paragon cost less than these, it will well and truly owe me considerably more once finished.

2) Not really chasing atm. Have a Congo on the way and a Spirit of 76

1) Big Bang Bar - won't embarrass myself by specifying how much I paid, you guys will have an idea, but it's a lot less than they sell for today. I bought out the spot of one of the original guys for a slight premium, and then sat back for two years wondering where my money had gone.

2) Target Alpha I think

1.) $5500 for my CV, before prices went south. It was a much better game once I installed the home use ROM. Dont regret it but I was happy enough to see it gone.
I have found that I get more enjoyment out of fixing up cheaper games than I do from playing the more expensive titles I have owned in the past, especially now that my kids like to help me with the cleaning and repair of machines. I have a 5 year old son who won't leave the Fishtales alone since we got it going.

2.) Hopefully a Family Guy. NIB if I can find one, but it is a pipe dream at this stage.
The thicken plots.

Bingo! I have found the same thing. The more I had to do to a game to make it right the more I seem to enjoy the resultant game.

I agree, i bought a DMD and have had to do nothing to it,although it is nice to have one machine that keeps on going.

highest price paid $2750, lowest price paid $500, prices include delivery costs.

what am i after,i am waiting for my next project machine to come along (still have a Xenon to start restoring).

Most I paid was $6,000 for an Addams. On reflection, a stupid price to pay but I really wanted it at the time and it was minty. Would you believe I made a profit on it when it sold on eBay for $6,100. The silly thing was it had a buy it now price of $5,500. That's ebay for you!

Next machine i want to get is JUDGE DREDD.

I have found 1 with an asking price of $3500....

Is this a good price?
I have played it & every thing seems to work
