1. OK i paid too much $ for a Gorgar, have no regrets, but doubt i'll spend that much again on a machine.

2. Next will be a Bally SS, followed by a 70's Gottlieb EM i think.

I have found 1 with an asking price of $3500....

Is this a good price?
I have played it & every thing seems to work
tho it was starting multi ball at any time.
Play field & every thing looked in good nick.

The old JD seems to be getting a lot of love lately!  Check with MarkC - he had one in his last container....I only saw the cab - but the colours were like brand new!

I would think $2500-2800 for a nice one at the moment - private sale.  Expect more from a dealer.

I also think with the new Dredd movie due out next year, prices may head north for a while depending on the success of the movie.

The most I paid is $3,700 for my Bally Corvette pin, I imported it from Germany in 2005. Probably at the time it seemed like I paid too much, but I had my own business then, and no kids, so always seemed to have spare cash. This pin is 100% keeper so it was the right decison indeed.

QUESTION TWO - what machine are you buying next ?

Whatever I stumble across that suits my budget, I would like to learn more about the mechanics of a pin, so maybe a project machine to tinker around with perhaps??

Gtb Solar City for $800 (from an antique shop in Uralla). At the time i thought it was too much to pay coz it looked like a piece of crap! After finding out some of the prices some of these old games can go for, i didnt feel too bad for paying that much for it. Came up lookin pretty good after a full, from the ground up restore though.

NONE... Not unless something interesting comes my way.. too busy fixing other peoples games to do anymore for myself..

highest paid was $4 grand for a SEGA VIPER NIGHT DRIVE 4 months ago.immaculate playfield etc, rare machine with rare glow balls so i was happy to get it. spoke to mark at the time and he said thats what they were going for, if u could get one in OZ. HAPPY WITH IT.

I have paid $3400 for a few other machines and alot of $2000 and $2500's.

Next machine is a theatre of magic and a addams family. but just cant get the idea of buying a scared stiff and monster bash out of my head. decisions decisions decisions.

the highest paid ,is a Dirty Harry,,$3300 5 years ago,,never played the game befor,,was l bit much,,no regrets, paid $2500 for a AF,, so that would of made up for the extra paid.

next machine?? have not brought a machine for over two years,, thought l would be wise, to fix the 45 pins,l already have, or get them up to scratch first, befor craming more in.

Highest paid pin T2 $2200 , paid $2000 for a Gottlieb Bank a Ball plus transport from Vic to NSW and about 2 weeks later picked up a Gottlieb HighHand for $1200 in excellent condition.

How hard is this Question ? I recon I watched every episode of the Black & white TV series of the Addams Family so this pin will do.
Why this is a hard question me !  Im always searching for the that new pin but HELLO!  I already got a queue of Pinballs in line to restore from my past cravings, this is my worst habbit and I bet I'm not alone out there.

yes I did and yes its one of the better ones I have seen with colour in it
its on hold for a customer from saturday though at 3500.00

Wow, I didn't know about the new Judge Dredd movie, it will be interesting to see if Stern produce a new JD machine. I will be keeping an eye on prices of JD machines once the movie is released.

1) I paid $4800 USD shipped for my MM (from Germany, came to the US on Lufthansa)
2) Dunno. Not buying any pins right now, actually trying to *sell* a few, until I get a job somewhere. Even then, I may downsize a bit to bank some more $$, job market in the US kinda sucks, and I'd rather sacrifice part of my collection now and be able to rebuild it later.
