Not really sure what happened with the auction it just went "pear shaped". My games in awesome condition and I hate the thought of selling her but time to move the collection around and well I've had her the longest and I need a change. I have someone coming over Saturday night to most likely buy it as she's very very keen so we will see what happens, she's probally going to get a quality game for a great price.

Keeps us posted if it doesn't sell as I'm still toying with the idea of buying it, one thing that stops me is I've never played one

Good to hear Peter, wish I bought it but I just don't know what I want so didn't want to waste your time umming and ahrrring. I kinda regret that I didn't and wifey keeps stirring my about missing out. I'm pleased it didn't do to someone who'd put it on ebay and try to make a quick buck or something after a few weeks.

Peter,

I think you did the right thing....this game doesn't seem to hold the interest of collectors for long.

Owned a real nice example a few years ago....played it for a few days then  ((( ((( (((

Nothing like getting a new pin...you wont even remember you owned it in 2 weeks.

Agree - this is not a title to buy to make money!

If I ever run out of things to fix / rebuild I will probably sell mine as well.
Why is it called PMS?

I know its off topic. I was wondering if anybody else has had troubles with the dj head.
The machine i have been cleaning up has never had the head working.
In the head test it moves fine and all the optos work but when it turns all the way to the left the opto interupter plate moves(like slips on the shaft about 5 mm) then it won't hit its optos right and throws an error. I haven't looked to see if the opto interupters are available as a replacement part.
But was wondering if anybody has had this problem and had found out how to fix it. I was thinking of epoxy it to the shaft then it won't move...

Thanks

I've heard of so many issues with the head that some operators used to turn the head off to avoid on site problems-if glueing it heaps give it a go

I'm no tech - but...

To fix the stupid head opto system - you have to glue the black disk onto the shaft. The "d" shaped hole wears and the disk can rotate on the shaft.

I super-glued mine while holding it counter clockwise against the slack. The position of the disk is critical - if it's out by a few degrees it will freeze the head up.

If the head hits the mechanical stop before the opto is clear - it will freeze looking at the rocket ramp. It will be okay after a reset for a while - then same again.

Mine has to work as the kids panic if it's not working....  @.@

I will own up to disconnecting the mouth solenoid - the constant chattering drives me nuts! Plus I need a new drive rod for the mouth anyway...
