Nice.. !!

Looks great  #*#

Its getting there, slowly...

The good news is today I found the holy grail of mylar places, in every colour and size under the rainbow! including chrome.  So I picked up a mtr and its getting the lettering cut for "Police Force" on the domes on the header box.

...and where is this Holy place located..... <..>

The place is called ArtMart Australia.  Located Joseph St Blackburn North (just off Middleborough Rd over fwy)... I was very impressed as they have tonnes of stuff, huge factory and were quite happy just selling a metre.  Even put it on a cardboard roll too!

aahhhh another lucky customer at ArtMart ;-)

ArtMart is about 500mtrs from my place, i bought lots of screen printing/signwriting adhesive/mylars in the past.

They are more expensive than most sign-supply places, but they're big and have stock all the time.

Cool stuff.
Marty (the other one).

Thanks guys,

Its getting there.  I do like the chrome mylar...Has a very nice finish, but its super super thin.  Very delicate putting it on.  I originally was going to go with Arial bold font (have one made ready to go) but was not quite right.  The signwriter / cutter man had a look on IPD and chose a different one (not sure which one) but got it very very close.  There was some mylar left over so I've asked for another two to be cut and I will sling the previous owner one for his machine (only cause he's a top bloke!) if he wants it...

OK..With this fantastic weather today I've got a bit more done.

Today removed the old flippers completely, inc new coils, flipper bats, rubbers and full rebuild kit from Greg!   $!&

Put the new ones in (only second kit I've ever done), but this one seemed to go much smoothly from the last.  In and tested and both seem to work very well.

I reversed the mounting of the coils, as they were still in the factory positioning.  Also noticed some brown lock-tight in the hex nuts on the coil stop.  Not sure if it was factory or an OP but good to see them being thorough!
Also on the yellow caps, I stripped some thick auto wire and used the sheath on both ends, just to copy what had been done previously.

I think I noticed a bit of a factory 'uh-oh' which was interesting too.  On the r/h/s flipper assembly bracket, the left-hand upper bracket which should screw into the wood, hangs over a playfield insert?  I guess they didnt have autocad back then!

Yup, she plays like new.  Me and the lovely played the first proper game on it tonight.  Love it.  Great fun.  Had to adjust the pop bumpers a bit, but now she's running on all 8 cylinders!

Unfortunately she is still talking about a Shrek...(Mark!!!!!!!!! - "Oh, there's a Shrek over there, why not play a game?!!!")
