Centaur is a better machine in my opinion - however - a clean Gorgar is fun to play - one of the better williams titles for sure.

X2. Keep the Centaur II, pick up a Gorgar some other time, there's 3 Gorgars on ebay right now.

I found out today i can set my Gorgar up so the stand up targets (1-4) have to be hit in sequence. This makes the game a lot better IMO.

Hands down, any form of Centaur is superior to many pins. Gorgar was an interesting early pin that faded fast with technology!

The setting to do this is function is number 33 in the game adjustments, then select setting number "02" in the player 1 display position.  I like this setting too, makes the game really quite challenging for specials, especially having to finally spot the alternating red arrow to complete it.

Hi Gorgar1. Go here.....
http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=gorgar&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick

Download the instruction booklet. There is a full page 'table' in the booklet which shows all set-up options and how to do it.

I've got it set so 1-4 targets hit in sequence, also set up so everything restores after each ball is lost (kick-out value, target value etc.). This changes the whole game and is so much more fun. I love Gorgar. I've also set my Flash to similar settings to make it as hard as possible.
