SOLVED - Paying Pinball Resource
« on: November 22, 2009, 10:51:43 AM »
I checked with my bank the other day and found that I can get an international draft (basically a foreign currency bank cheque). And for less than I used to pay for international money orders from the Post Office! $5.00 (for shareholders) and $10.00 otherwise. I'm a shareholder so $5.00 - bargain! But even at $10.00 it's only $2.00 more than the post office.

Bendigo Bank?

Saw that the other day.  Would you have to have an account with them to get it for $10?.

I'd say a good option rather than solved :)

The NAB have a similar product called an "international cheque". It's drawn in US$ and the branch address on the cheque was Wall St, New York.  It cost $15 for customers and I think $25 for non customers. They used a reasonable exchange rate and you had to do a bit of paperwork. I just sent it in an airmail envelope and PBR accepted it.  Maybe this is of help to some.

Yes, but fees will differ. $10.00 is pretty low though, I doubt any others are that cheap.

Yeah thought so - St. George charge $20 (or it might be $22).  @.@

I've used PriceUSA for a ~$300 USD purchase (from a retailed that didn't ship internationally) and it all went without a problem. Carolina is fantastic to deal with.
