Creature From the Black Lagoon - Speaker Panel DIY Test

This is what you can do in over an hour. Plexiglass cost $10, art film & translucent white film another $20 - $40. Total cost between $30 - $50, results were nice & could be perfect with circle cutter.

Reverse film had translucent white applied dry, work bench Bally Elektra.
Stainless steel blade to cut. Plastic ruler used & freehand circle (use a circle cutter).
Apply film wet, I used 10% windex vinegar to water. Apply water often while trying to get best alignment.

I am not selling the art film, just doing a test to show what can be done for your game, any title. The Sorcerer shown is sanded down & going through the whole process again. The crinkling is caused by not enough drying of clear or too excess! That is the major hassle in this restoration process.

Update: I got the display films printed & cut for speakers & display. The color is on clear film, there is white film under the color films (not visible) & they do have holes cut for display & speakers. So if everything is ok, should make for a perfect replacement. Films should be applied wet to get the alignment good.

This is a free test for someone's pinball in Australia & he will do the work. If he wishes to post pictures he can. I am not selling these! Just another test to show what can be done. I have offered to help Wayne Gillard, by doing a TZ translite. Compare his result & see what can be done here. He declined the offer to use his file & produce one here at my printer. He also declined the use of a Roland Service Rep, to see if things could be improved & compare my printers result to his. All of this was offered strictly by myself to better the hobby. No big deal, just thought I would offer to help out with my local experts.
