Mylar prep
« on: December 15, 2009, 09:23:49 AM »
G'day guys and girls.

The novice that I am. I want to put a piece of mylar under a ramp on my white water extending into the playfield as the edge is chipping under it. What product to use as preparation and method is my question????

Thanks,

Rich..................................

A very clean playfield (all waxes / polishes must be removed first!)...I've always used shellite / isocol alcohol first.

I have mentioned this in another thread of yours.  Buy some stealth mylar sheets from Pinball Pal.  Relatively cheap, look good, do a great job and piece of piss to remove if needs be.  It just peels off like a band aid but doesn't ever look like lifting or moving until you want it to.  You can buy full A4 size sheets or they have sheets with various shapes pre-cut in them.  I swear by them.  Not sure if Greg at RTBB stocks them as well?????

I think Greg sold them as "kits"  !@#

I'd PM him as I've not seen them on his site for a while.

And gee don't they charge you for iosprop! Think it's $12 for a spray bottle?

I use 100% pure iso at work (As a paint thinner) - got about 1200lt in stock...  &&
