My xmas present to myself!!
« on: December 23, 2009, 10:11:58 PM »
Hi guys

bought myself two xmas presents in the last couple of days.. one was a brand new HP laptop computer, and here is the other one...

A 1975 Gottlieb Quick draw, a friend of mine found this one in the Tender Centre in Port Macquarie and called me a few weeks ago, they had $1100 on it. They had one bid of $850 which was rejected by the owner of the game. I am currently in Port Macquarie for xmas, so i went for a look at the game, even though it wasnt a title i am looking for. so after seeing a lot of potential ( and that the game works, with only a few switch/stepper issues) i made an offer of $1000... too much??? well... maybe a bit but i must say im NOT sorry, after playing a few games on it.. what an awesome game.

And not in that bad condition, especially the playfield. the backglass does have some missing paint but after my Universe bg this one will be a piece of piss to pretty up *%* *%*

Anyway for the moment its being stored at a mates place (in his game room, set up) til i can work out where the hell im going to put it :lol :lol

so theres one more for the resto que

Well done Mitch,
Looks to be in very good condition  ^^^

My backglass has less paint left, so look forward to your backglass restore.
Playfield looks very tidy and will come up a treat.
Still playing mine often and enjoy it alot.
Have some spare targets and a nearly complete drop target unit I got off DDtoys,
if you need a part give me a yell.

Cheers
Dave

Look forward to the restore.

Hey SPURR, before buying this one i looked at two electric guitars that i nearly bought before looking at this game... a "52 reissue Fender Telecaster, and a brand new Grestch hollow body electric (not sure of the model though). was $1700 for the tele and about $3500 for the gretsch. obviously i wasnt meant to get either of them..

Im Definitely running outta room fast!! but i've always managed to squeeze in one more machine... trouble is, i have yet another one coming fairly soon. ^&^ ^&^

Quick Draw was a bit of an impulse buy i must admit, it was NOT one of my wish list titles but has some cool features i've not seen before, so should be a great player when done up properly.
