Finally got around to using this kit on my Jurassic Park over the past couple of days.

It has come up far better than i could ever have imagined. I also purchased their wax and i can tell you that my playfield and cabinet are now far more vibrant than i thought it would ever look.

I highly recommend these kits for anyone who is concerned about dropping the cash on them.

Cheers,
Steve

Well, after seeing this post tonight, i finally got off my bum and ordered the Master Kit from Treasure Cove. Its cost me $119 but i get everything so i thought why the hell not. I only have 25 machines to do and i am stuffed if i am going to do any more by hand. To date, the hand polishing has worked a treat, but i will be dead before i get the fleet done by hand.
I will post some before and after photos when i do a few machines. Now i am dying for it to arrive so i can do some playfields.
Thanks for the reminder of such a nice looking kit. ^^^

Guys - go and have a look at Super Cheap Auto.

They sell a gizmo called a "Bohler 3d sander"

It does not come with polishing pads - but they sell a "Mega Pack" which includes buffing and lambswool pads.

Sander is $20 - mega pack is $30... I think it's a steal...

It's variable speed, and nicer than hanging onto the drill...
Why is it called PMS?
Because "Mad Cow Disease" was already taken...

just a small piece of advice here.  I also have the treasure cove kit.  Slower drills will leave circular scratches on your playfield so make sure you use quite a decent drill that can reach high speeds.

Very good point - on the website - it states that it must be a "high speed" drill. Theirs is a DeWalt 2500 rpm.

i guess it doesnt matter what speed u go at, if u press down far too hard, you are going to have problems. Also, allowing the polishing head to sit too long on any spot will cause excessive heat n damage.

If u have seen a friend use a buff on a car incorrectly, u would know what i mean. lol  %.%

I cant wait for my kit to turn up. I have been dreaming about it since i paid for it.

What does it mean when u dream about pinball stuff ?  other than u r crazy.  ^^^

p.s - i am off to super cheap as well. thankyou for the heads up. i will just use this inside the cabinets for sanding. i feel using a drill gives you the ability to see the polishing head spinning and you can see where the side of the head is. but for sanding tight places inside the cabinets might be a beauty. thnks again for the product info.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^
